Debugging in Visual Studio for Mac works as expected. I have tried with the scene in play mode and in edit mode. In Unity's preferences, the External Script Editor is set to Visual Studio Code (Showing 'Code' in the drop down) and I have tried with Editor Attaching both checked and unchecked, restarting the editor after each attempt. I have the following extensions installed: I've tried various versions of the debugger tool, including the latest release from GitHub ( 2.6.3), several 2.x releases from GitHub, and the current version available in the marketplace (1.3.0). I was experiencing this problem with Unity 2018.1 and hoped that 2018.2 would make a difference, but the results are the same.
